Alan earned a degree in Graphic Arts while serving in the United States Air Force for 20 Years as a Graphic Illustrator/Photographer. There (among other assignments) he served as the Illustrator for the Air Force Surgeon General, and as the Manager of the Graphics shop for the Armed Forces Presidential Inaugural Committee for the Inauguration of President George W. Bush. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association (IPPA).
